Education
In May of 2012, I graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Spanish Education and an Instructional Technology Specialist Certificate. With a cumulative GPA of 3.5, I am proud to say that I graduated from Duquesne's School of Education with honors. Throughout my four years, I've learned the in's and out's of Spanish grammar, culture and the history behind the language itself. I also had a life changing experience when I spent six weeks studying abroad in Salamanca, Spain. Not only did it help me improve my language skills, but it also allowed me to grow more as a person.
In addition to the Spanish language, I was also intrigued by technology in the classroom and the importance of it's integration. After receiving my Instructional Technology Specialist certificate, I knew I wanted to continue on to learn more about it. In August of 2013, I completed my Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology with Michigan State University. I am currently a New York State Certified Educational Technology Specialist. The MAET program at Michigan State University provided me with the opportunity to create my own works in order to showcase what I have learned throughout each course. Through these courses I've created my own Learning Management System, identified my own leadership skills, learned strategical ways to implement technology into the curriculum and have discovered new technologies along the way.

Personal Life
In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with family & friends, spending summers at the beach and catching up on the latest episodes of the Housewives. I am an animal lover, a New York Jets Fan and coffee drinker. When I am not doing the things I love, I am probably spending my time learning about something new. My mother has always told me that knowledge is power, and education is the only thing you can't waste money on; I truly believe this. As I've pursued my interest in Educational Technology, I've grown to be intrigued by Computer Science. I like learning about computer programming/coding and mobile application development. This is something that I may pursue in the future because it is the way of our world and would definitely be another great learning experience.
I also spend a lot of time on Twitter. I've found a way to use Twitter as an educational tool not only for myself, but for others as well. I spend my time on Twitter collaborating with other educators, engineers, programmers and a wide range of individuals. I found this to be so resourceful because sharing ideas with others gives you the opportunity to see and learn multiple things from different perspectives. Follow me on Twitter to collaborate about #EdTech and some great things you can do in the classroom!
