Master of Arts in Educational Technology
Michigan State University & Duquesne University
My love for Educational Technology began when I pursued my Instructional Technology Specialist Certificate during my undergraduate term at Duquesne University. This required me to take one 3-credit graduate course, in addition to five previous Instructional Technology courses. With a great passion for this field, I continued to complete my 30-credit Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology with Michigan State University. Below you will see a list of courses that I have taken and examples of work that I have done in each class. A list of my best work is located in my showcase.
GILT-514 Management of Instructional Technology
Duquesne University - Summer 2012
Instructors: D. Carbonara
GILT-514 was a course that focused on the administrative side of Instructional Technology. In this course, I discovered the perspective of technology integration through the eyes of a school district leader. I conducted research and collaborated with my peers in order to create formal policies such as a Technology Plan, a Budget Plan and an Acceptable Use Policy. GILT-514 allowed me to view more than just the effects of technology on student learning, but also on school finances and management. At the end of this course, I was required to create a portfolio which reflected my knowledge and growth as an Instructional Technologist by providing works of evidence. You can view some of these works below.
