My Teaching PhilosophyOne thing I think people tend to forget is how teacher's help make the world. Our students will be our future and it is crucial that we provide them with the best education. In addition to education, it is important that we the teachers create superior learning environments where students feel comfortable and capable of self-expression. I want to use my resources wisely in order to help cultivate the learning of my students and constantly keep them engaged. I want to create a learning environment where my students want to explore the possibilities on their own and enjoy learning. Every student is an individual, every student is unique and every student has the same opportunities. As a future teacher, I want to lead my students to these opportunities and guide them to the door of success. I want my students to look back and be able to say I was the teacher that changed their life. All I want in this life is to make a difference and if it is not within the eyes of students, I hope it's within the eyes of other professionals. Universal Design I'm a firm believer in the fact that every student is unique; every student has a different learning style. It is important that every lesson created uses different methods in order to accommodate the needs of all students. Differentiated instruction is the key to universal design. It is imperative that every teacher uses different approaches to learning that can be easily adjusted, if needed for other students. With my experience with technology, differentiated instruction and bad teachers, I know that I have the education needed in order to create lessons that will be flexible and easily adjusted to accommodate all student learners. Watch the video on the left to understand how technology is changing the world, and how I want to change education by integrating technology into my curriculum and educating other professionals on the importance of doing so.
